Dear Reader,
First, we'd like to congratulate the twenty fellows who made it to the recently concluded 36th U.P. National Writers' Workshop which drew, once again, hundreds of applications. The two-week Workshop was held in Baguio City from March 29 to April 12, and was well attended by distinguished writers, artists, and former fellows who either were members of the workshop panel, or just dropped by to support this annual event --- now with the reputation of being a pivotal part of every aspiring writer's "rights-of- passage". Through this issue, Likhaan Online pays tribute to this event as well. This issue is the third of a recent tradition of Likhaan Online issues solely about the Workshops, and will feature selected works from the Fellows. The works are in their "unadultered" form --- the revisions that the Fellows may have made after the workshops' intensive critiqueing, will still have to be seen. We hope you enjoy this issue and share, albeit belatedly, the Workshop Experience. Again, Congratulations to the Fellows! Gio TavanlarIV

Words
of wisdom by the Workshop's Official Ballpen Sponsor, Dong-A (My
Gel-Pen), was an unwitting (but fitting) motto for clever workshop participants.
